The Commission on the Future of Policing recommended that a new Independent Office of the Police Ombudsman should replace the Garda Siochana Ombudsman Commission (GSOC). ICCL supports this call.

It’s also vital that the proposed Policing and Community Safety Oversight Commission (PCSOC) has full powers of unannounced access and inspection of garda stations as well as oversight of intelligence and surveillance.
